Complete Shipping Rates for U.S. & International Transactions
These shipping rates are effective January 1, 2008. Please note that these rates only apply to coin purchases weighing 3 ounces or less; heavier items such as books or larger lots of coins may require additional postage. Items sent by uninsured mail are sent at the buyer's risk.
Items up to $50.00 total value:
Uninsured Shipping (USA or international): add $1.00
Insured Shipping: (USA only): add $2.65
Registered Shipping (USA or international): add $10.15
Items over $50.00 total value (please note these rates have changed since 2003):
Insured Shipping rates for orders between $50.01 and $700.00:
Insured Value
$50.01 - $100.00 - add $3.05
$100.01 - $200.00 - add $3.45
$200.01 - 700.00 - add $5.60
Orders over $700.00 - FREE Registered shipping (see below)
*For maximum safety, orders over $700.00 will be sent by Registered shipping only, unless the customer specifically requires an alternate shipping method.
Registered Shipping (USA/International) for orders under $700.00: add $10.15
NB: Maximum insurance indemnity for Registered international shipments is $40.45. Items shipped Registered within the USA can be insured for up to $5,000.00 for the same flat $9.50 fee.
Priority Shipping (USA: 2-3 days; international: 6-10 days):
For Priority Shipping within the USA, add $4.60; insurance
is extra ($1.65 for up to $50.00 of declared value, $2.05 for up to $100.00
of declared value, plus $1.00 for each $100 or fraction thereof above $100).
For Global Priority Shipping (international, no insurance), there is a flat fee of $11.00.
Express Shipping (USA: overnight; international: 3-5 days):
USA: add $16.25
International: add $25.00
NB: This option requires payment by PayPal, cash, or US Postal Money Order in order to have items shipped next day; personal checks still require standard holding period unless other arrangements have been made.
As a rule, we do all our shipping through the U.S. Post Office. We typically do not ship by FedEx, UPS, or other independent companies; however, if for some reason you absolutely need to have a package shipped by an alternate method, let me know.
