Late Roman Bronze Coins, c. 307-423 A.D.

We have recently acquired a few hundred late Roman minor bronze coins, mostly from the time of Constantine the Great, but with a few later pieces in the mix as well.  Most of these coins are about the size of a U.S. dime, but there are pieces in the group as large as 23 mm and pieces as small as 10 mm.  Each coin will be housed in an individual 2x2 flip with a full attribution, including the emperor's name, date range within which the coin was minted, the mint at which the coin was struck (if known), the complete obverse and reverse inscription, and an explanation of the reverse design.  We have these coins available for sale in two grade ranges: Fine to VF, and VG to Fine.

Emperors found in this lot include Licinius I, Constantine I (The Great), Constans, Constantine II, Constantius II, Constantius Gallus, Valens, Valentinian I, Gratian, Julian II, Theodosius I, and Arcadius.

Shown above: Fine to VF Condition. Price $9 each, or $8 each for 10 or more assorted pieces (multiple orders will receive a variety of portraits and reverse types).  Requests for specific emperors or specific reverse types will be honored when possible, but this may affect the price based on availability and other factors.

We also have pieces in VG to Fine at $7 each, or $6 each for 20 or more assorted pieces.

Indo-Sassanian Silver Drachms, c. 800-850 A.D.

More specifically, these are contemporary (i.e. minted in antiquity) imitations of Sassanian silver drachms struck in northern India by the Rajput Dynasties of Saurashtra and Gujarat.  These pieces have large flat areas that are not a result of wear, but rather a result of very crude manufacturing.  They appear to be struck in decent silver.

Price $7 each, 5 pieces for $33, 10 pieces for $62.

Medieval India, Shahi Kings of Kabul and Gandhara
Silver Drachms, c. 900-970 A.D.

These attractive little silver pieces are slightly smaller than a US dime.  They feature a horseman on the obverse and a humped bull on the reverse.  Below is an image showing some representative obverses and reverses.  The centering is not perfect (the design is actually too big for the size of the coins), and the silver is of lower purity, but they're priced to sell.

Fine/VF grade (shown): $10 each.
We also have lower grade pieces at $7.50 each.
Discounts available for orders of 10 or more pieces; please inquire.
